この一件で同社の時価総額は今週、約18億ドル（約2000億円）消失した。
しかしここ6年ほどで不正や不祥事を認めた日本の大手企業は少なくとも6社に上っており、
なぜこのようなことが起こり続けるのか、日本には制度的な問題があるのか、
といった疑問の声が上がっている。
「手抜きという手段」
1990年代以降長期間にわたって続く経済成長の鈍化が、大きな要因となっていると専門家は指摘する。
この鈍化により、日本企業はビジネス・モデルの変更を余儀なくされており、
それがこのような問題を引き起こしているようなのだ。
「大企業はかつて、安定的で予測可能な成長市場に身を置いていた。
しかし状況が変わり、一部の企業は手抜きという手段に訴えた可能性がある」と指摘するのは、
都内に拠点を置く独立系リサーチ会社ジャパン・マクロ・アドバイザーズの社長で
チーフ・エコノミストの大久保琢史氏だ。
昔の日本人は「正義」を持っていました。
無条件降伏してもアメリカや連合国を恨みませんでした。
